Canon revealed a new camcorder to their line of top notch products. The Canon HF100 is a high definition recorder that allows its users to record HD videos directly to a flash memory versus a hard disk installed in the camera. The camera has an extended recording time and is much more compact than DVD camcorders. The Canon HF100 records at a HD resolution of 1920x1080 and uses SD or SDHC memory cards. The camcorder allows users to record as much as the memory holds and is easily transferable to computers using a card reader. HD made easy!
A new addition to the docking stations for the everpopular iPods was also unveiled. The iPod speaker was displayed, made by JBL, the leader in manufacturing home and car audio speakers. The JBL On Stage 200ID and 400ID were given the chance to wow consumers with a docking station, controlled by IR remotes which change the volume levels, track selection, and also comes equipped with a jack for other MP3 players than an iPod. The sound blares from all around the speaker with a solid, HD-like audio sound. The speaker docking station is compatible with all iPod models, including the newest design, the iPhone. The speakers are equipped with 10-watt transducers which provide crystal clear frequencies both high and low, allowing smooth reception at all frequency levels. The 400ID is more powerful and focuses more on high frequencies, giving the best sound quality in a docking station. The On Stage speakers will be released to the public in February.
Kodak also made its products known at the 2008 CES held in Las Vegas. Kodak, one of the largest and longest life companies, introduced a touch screen digital camera that will be released to major stores in March. The newest addition to its Easy Share line willFirst-Person: CES 2008 Las Vegas Unveils Canon HF100, Kodak Easy Share V1073 also feature HD video recording that can be hooked up to a television for a true high quality digital camera viewing. Video recording features MPEG-4 compression, giving users longer video recording time without losing quality. The V1073 features a 10 megapixel lens with a zoom up to 3x. The lens reduces shake, giving consumers the sharpest images possible. Digital cameras are continuing to expand in technology and Kodak is keeping its name right among the top manufacturers.
Never attending the CES previously, the countless number of new products unveiled was almost mind blowing. Cameras continue to capture the most precious moments of our lives with greater clarity and precision. Camcorders are upgrading quickly, recording live moments of our daily events to some form of disk. In recent months, products featuring touch screens are increasing, making it easier to navigate our cell phones and GPS devices and soon our digital cameras. It won't be too long before our computers become primarily touch screens as well.
